Christmas ‘25 food gift and new movie night favorite.
Ingredients
2 T cheese powder (or nutritional yeast)
2 t garlic powder
1 1⁄2 t dried parsley
1 t dried basil
1⁄2 t table salt
3 T vegetable oil (Ghee works well)
33⁄100 c popcorn kernels
2 T unsalted butter (melted)
Instructions
Grind cheese powder, garlic powder, parsley, basil, and salt in spice grinder to fine powder. Heat 3 tablespoons vegetable oil and 3 popcorn kernels in a large saucepan over medium heat until the kernels pop. Off the heat, add 1/3 cup popcorn kernels, cover, and let sit for 30 seconds. Return the pan to medium-high heat and cook with the lid slightly ajar until the popping slows to about 2 seconds between pops. Pour into a large bowl and toss with 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter. Add 1/4 cup popcorn seasoning in two additions, tossing after each addition to coat.
Notes
Makes 1/4 cup of seasoning, enough for 14 cups of popped corn.
